What Is the Cut-Off Mark for African University of Science and Technology?
AUST accepts students who score 140 and above in JAMB. This means if you score 140, 150, or even higher, you can apply.

What is Direct Entry?
Direct Entry (DE) is a way to enter the university without starting from the first year (100 Level). It is for students who have studied at other colleges before.
General DE Requirement
You must have at least two good A-Level passes in subjects related to the course you want to study.
A-Levels are advanced school subjects. If you want to study Engineering, you need good A-Level passes in Mathematics and Physics, for example. They must be the correct subjects for your chosen course.
To Enter Second Year (200 Level)
If you have one of these certificates, you can start from the second year:
A National Diploma (ND)
A NCE (Teachers’ Certificate)
You need at least a Lower Credit or an Upper Credit in your final result. For example, if you finished your ND with a Lower Credit, you can apply to start from 200 Level. A pass grade is usually not accepted.
To Enter Third Year (300 Level)
If you have a Higher National Diploma (HND), you can start from the third year.

This is the paper from the exam body (JAMB) that shows your score.
It is the white paper from the cybercafe that shows you scored 140. You must bring the original copy.
Your O’Level Certificate
This is your original WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB certificate or statement of result.
It is the big, original certificate from WAEC that shows your 5 credits, including Maths and English. Do not bring only the online printout.
A Recent Passport PhotographYou need a small photo of yourself, taken recently.
The background of the photo must be plain white. Do not use a photo with a tree or a coloured wall behind you.
Proof of Your Age

This is a paper from your local government office that identifies you as a person from that area

Acceptance and Application Fees
Before you are a full student, you must pay an acceptance fee. This confirms your seat.
For New Students (Foundation): You pay ₦25,000 for processing and ₦500 for the form.
For Postgraduate Students (Masters/PhD): You pay ₦10,000 for the application form.
School Fees for Undergraduate Students

Private Room (Self-Contained): You stay alone. The price is ₦230,029 per session. This is the most expensive but gives you the most privacy.
Room for Two Students: You share with one other person. The price is ₦153,240 per student. This is a good balance between cost and having your own space.

How to Apply to the African University of Science & Technology A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Go to the Official Website
Open your phone or computer and go to aust.edu.ng. This is the only real website.
Step 2: Start Your Application
On the website’s front page, find and click the button Admissions This will take you to the application portal. and then Click Apply Now
Step 3: Create Your Account
You need to make an account. Click on New Application. You will be asked to enter your name, a valid email address, and a phone number.
Example: If your name is Chika, use chika@email.com. The school will send a confirmation email to this address.
Step 4: Check Your Email and Pay the Fee
Check your email (and your spam folder) for a message from AUST. It will contain your Application ID number and a link to pay the application fee. Pay the fee online using your bank card or USSD.
Step 5: Fill the Form and Upload Documents
After you made your payment log in to your account again. and fill in the online form with your personal and educational details.
