Post-UTME Admission Requirements: General Eligibility & Cut-Off Marks
To get admission into New City University, you must meet three conditions.
- Applicants should have a JAMB UTME score of at least 160 and must possess five credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English and Mathematics
- you need good O’Level results. This means your WAEC, NECO, or similar exams. You must have credit passes in five subjects. It is very important that these five credits include Mathematics and English Language. Without credits in these two subjects, you will not be eligible.
- you must have chosen New City University as your first choice institution in your JAMB registration. If you chose another school as your first choice, you must change it to New City University before you can apply.
Post-UTME Screening Documents requirements
For the Post-UTME screening, you must prepare and upload some important documents. These are the papers the university needs to check your details.
- You need your JAMB UTME Result Slip. This is the paper that shows your JAMB score.
- You need your O’Level results. This can be your WAEC or NECO certificate or statement of result. Remember, you must have credits in five subjects, including English and Mathematics.
- You need a recent passport photograph. The background of this photo must be white. You should be looking straight at the camera in the photo.

Direct Entry (DE) Admission Requirements: Basic Eligibility & Accepted Qualifications

A-Level / IJMB / JUPEB: You need good grades in at least two subjects related to the course you want to study. A ‘C’ grade is the minimum.
National Diploma (ND): You must have finished your diploma program with a good result (Upper Credit or Credit) from a good polytechnic. Your diploma must be related to the university course you choose.
NCE: You need a Credit grade in the subjects you studied at the College of Education.

First, you must pay an acceptance fee of ₦23,000. This confirms your admission.
The school fee for one academic session is ₦1,500,000.
If you wish to live in the school hostel, you must apply online after paying your acceptance fee. Rooms are given to students in the order they apply.

Single Room (for one person): ₦152,029. You get your own bedroom and bathroom.
Shared Room (for two people): ₦91,240 per person. You share the room and bathroom with one other student.
Shared Room (for four people): ₦61,023 per person. This room has bunk beds and a shared bathroom for the hallway.
How to Apply to New City University
